I love winter. Living in Michigan means being surrounded with beautiful snowy hills, crisp winter mornings, and potholes the size of Texas in the spring. But now that summer is here (and I’m away from the potholes) I’m excited for warm weather and laying in the sunshine! Summer has major perks; summer makeup is fun, summer clothes are light & comfy, and cold drinks just. taste. better. Below are a few of my summertime must-haves!
MAC Full of Joy Powder Blush (~$20)
I like MAC products. I haven’t found any that I LOVE yet, but the colors & products are things that make a trip to the MAC counter fun! I do have a few good MAC eyeshadows from Beauty Swap boxes (you can read about those here), + a few lipsticks. But here’s the deal: last week I stumbled across the Full of Joy Powder Blush and I think I fell in love. Not that this-will-be-over-in-a-week love, but the real long-lasting, swoony, this is fabulous, wear it every day love. Full of Joy is a pretty lilac color with a slight shimmer (it’s a frost) and it has pretty good staying power when paired with a primer/foundation. The color is beautiful, light, summery, and you need to go get ya one. I’m definitely going to try more colors!

Tom’s Shoes American Flag Canvas Slip-Ons ($54)
Dove Dry Shampoo ($4-6)
Because let’s be honest. I am NOT a morning person. Some days I wake up late for work. It is a little game I like to call “Oh sh*t” as in “Oh sh*t, I hit snooze 5 times, solved 10 math problems to turn the alarm off, and still fell back asleep, I’ve got 4.5 minutes to get ready”. Anyways, the dry shampoo rocks for those mornings. This is good on blonde or brunette, just make sure you work it in. It’s not as good on red hair.
