A great friend of mine and I have been planning a special surprise for this blog! And today we will finally unveil it (woohoo!). It’s later than we had planned on starting but with school getting back into gear for me, and an absolutely lovely wedding for the former @jraethomps, now @mrsjjarv on Insta, time just ran away from us. But it’s totally okay because we’re here now and this will be FUN!
2-3 times a month, we’re going to be posting some fun, flirty, blingy, cowboy boot filled fashion posts to share with all of you! I guess you could say we’re going to give you a peek into our (and maybe I speak for myself here) over-flowing closets, crazy lives, and love of fashion and accessories.
Today we’re going to share a little of our styles so read on to learn more about Jessie’s favorite looks, and my own eclectic style!
Jessie says: Hi there! I’m a born and raised Idaho cowgirl. I’m a lover of coffee, glitter, all things agriculture, and of course, FASHION! I was so unbelievably honored when Taylor asked if I’d be interested in joining forces for a little fashion blogging.
I first started developing my own sense of style while after I graduated from high school. Yes, I wore clothes pre-2008, but I would hardly call a closet full of jeans and Abercrombie & Fitch t -shirts to be anything close to “stylish.” Went I went to college, I realized that wearing something other than my common t-shirt/jean combo was fairly important.
Luckily, my style has continued to develop and evolve into what it is today. And what exactly is that, you might ask? Unfortunately, there’s no single word to describe it. It’s not classic, it’s not gypsy, it’s definitely not trendy …it’s just me 🙂 I’m a lover of white after Labor Day, random pops of color, and just like Jenna Lyons, I believe leopard is a neutral. A good pair of boots will always be my favorite, as will throwing together the perfect outfit in less than ten minutes. Above all else, I thrive on finding a good deal. In fact, my husband has even coined me as a bonafide “deal getter.” A girl can’t beat that, right?!
I can’t wait to share my love of fashion with you all, and to learn more about your personal styles!
Taylor says: Hey guys! Most of you know me, but for those who don’t, my name is Taylor and I’m from the great state of Michigan!
I would say any “Fashion Sense” that I have didn’t exist before 2010. Maybe 2009. I wore a lot of jeans, boots, tops, and messy ponytails to get through school, unless I was in official dress for FFA!
Over the last few years I’ve gotten a lot more excited about CLOTHES (my bank account, not so much). So I’m always looking for a good sale, a good deal, or a way to reuse an old outfit. See why J. Jarv and I get along so well?! I tend to wear whatever I feel good in, even if that means that some of my aggie friends look at me with some serious side-eye during classes.
I love wearing dresses, and let’s be honest, it’s because I don’t like wearing pants. But I DO tend to grab jeans as a go-to with my cowboy boots and a cute top a LOT since I’m always running around, playing with dirt for my soils classes, and Michigan is also COLD right now. I live for accessories, glitter, bling, and a lean towards mix of country-chic and hippie-esque outfits. Can’t wait to share a lot of fun things with all of you over the next few months!
